The next commodity cycle is already taking shape.

Everyone’s talking about commodities. Almost no one’s asking why.

Copper’s up. Gold keeps making headlines. People are stealing copper. Iron ore chat is back in every investing forum. When a theme shows up everywhere at once, it usually means something real is happening underneath it, not just noise.

But knowing commodities are moving and knowing why they’re moving are two different things. One gets you into a conversation at a barbecue. The other tells you where you actually are in a much longer cycle, and what that means for the next decade of your portfolio.

There’s huge opportunity in commodities, especially in Australia. But it’s important to understand the commodity story, not just the headlines.

Perth Live is a full day built around one question: Are we approaching the next commodity supercycle, and if we are, what does that actually change about how you invest?

What you’ll walk away with:

One question, worked from every angle of our educator’s expertise – each building on the last from the macros picture down to what it means for an actual portfolio:

  • A clearer view of where we sit in the commodity cycle, and the areas worth researching further off the back of it
  • A framework for matching portfolio structure to your life stage and risk appetite, not a one-size answer
  • A practical understanding of how macro context and relative strength work together, so you can tell which commodities are genuinely leading rather than just moving
  • Why commodity strength and company strength aren’t the same thing, and how to tell the difference before you buy
  • A live, practical look at how professional-level thinking handles a hypothetical allocation differently to guesswork

This session is for you if:

  • You’ve noticed commodities are back in the conversation and want to understand why, not just ride the headlines
  • You want to know where we actually sit in the broader economic cycle before you make any portfolio decisions
  • You’re building for the next decade, not the next quarter
  • You want a framework for telling commodity strength apart from company strength before you buy a single share

This session is not for you if:

  • You’re after a specific commodity price call or a tip on what to buy
  • You’re looking for personal financial advice tailored to your situation
  • You want a shortcut instead of a genuine understanding of how these decisions get made
