As a Certified Financial Technician (CFTe) and former schoolteacher (B.Ed.), he combines structured teaching methodology with detailed market analysis, making complex trading concepts accessible and actionable for learners at all levels.

As the founder of Mastering the Markets (MtM), David has mentored thousands of students through a comprehensive, progress-tracked curriculum designed to ensure no one falls behind. He is also a writer for News Corp, providing weekly insights on equities, market structure, and broader economic themes.

David’s commentary and analysis have been featured across multiple financial publications, including ausbiz TV, Small Caps, Business Insider, and Crypto News Australia. He has spoken at major Australian finance events such as Aus Crypto Con—the largest crypto conference in the Southern Hemisphere—Australia’s largest gold event in Sydney and on the Gold Coast, and the ATAA annual conference. Teaching Approach

David believes financial literacy is a skill anyone can develop when it is taught clearly and correctly. His education-first model focuses on building clarity, discipline, and confidence through structured learning pathways.

The MtM curriculum he designed incorporates real-time data checkpoints, student interventions, and structured assessments to ensure every learner receives the support they need. By blending market analysis with proven teaching principles, David helps students develop repeatable, rules-based processes that support long-term growth in their trading and investing journey.
